Flour export after estimation of new crop: Gondal

ISLAMABAD: Food and Agriculture Minister Nazar Muhammad Gondal on Thursday said that the government would allow the export of flour only after having estimation of the new crop. This he said while talking to delegation of All Pakistan Flour Mills Association in the federal capital.
The delegation was led by APFA President Iqbal Daud along with representatives of Azad Kashmir and four other provinces.
The federal minister hoped that wheat production would increase by one million ton after recent rainfall. However, the final estimation would be made by the end of April, he said.
On this occasion, APFA President demanded that the government allow them to export 200, 000 ton flour to Afghanistan.
