Federal body to review targets of crops today

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Committee on Food and Agriculture will hold its meeting today to take stock of the targets set for crops of the ‘khareef’ season, Geo News reported Monday.The Federal Committee on Agriculture will mull over the targets set for sugarcane, paddy, cotton crops of Khareef seasons.
According to the Committee sources, the target of sugarcane crop has been set at 53 million tonnes; while, the cotton production target is expected be set at 13.6 million bales and rice production at 6 million tonnes.
